The UK Hydrographic Office is a leading centre for hydrography, providing marine geospatial data to inform maritime decisions. To play a key role in the delivery of data sources across the business and to maintain relationships with national and international bodies, we have an exciting opportunity in the team for a Partnering and Engagement Officer.

You will join our Global New Data Team; a new component in the UKHO’s Data Acquisition Division. The team is tasked with the delivery of marine geospatial data in order to meet the changing needs of the maritime marketplace and continue the UKHO’s journey as a modern Hydrographic Office. As Partnering and Engagement Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the portfolio of contractual agreements with UK Ports and Harbours (and associated bodies) managing enquiries, problem solving, issuing of royalty and licencing payments, as well as internal and external stakeholder management to ensure we maintain a strong relationship with our data partners
  • Leading and supporting the delivery of strategically important engagement opportunities with new and existing data partners
  • Engaging, influencing and managing stakeholders at all levels (This could be procurement, finance or business representatives, as well as external partners, including building relationships and negotiating with data partners to secure data supply)
  • Supporting the Head of Global New Data Acquisition by conducting research into potential data suppliers and providing robust recommendations with regards to opportunities and priorities
