Role: Therapists and Counsellors (Children and Young Persons)
Based: Various locations available across Cumbria including Kendal, Maryport and Carlisle
Rate: Flexible dependant on experience
Qualification: A counselling or therapeutic qualification to diploma or above is essential as is post qualification experience
Hours: Part time and Full time opportunities available (Monday to Friday)
Length: 6 - 9 months contracts (possibility of further extension)
Resourcing Group Futures is currently recruiting on behalf of an specialist National Charity who have supported vulnerable children and young people throughout the UK for over 100 years - we are recruiting on their behalf for a number of experienced CYP Counsellors and Therapists to work across Cumbria.
Our client has a proven track record of supporting, counselling and advocating on behalf of children and young people and is well respected by their partner agencies and funders.
They work closely with other organisations and are continuously looking to develop innovative and integrated services that ensure the clients safety and well-being is paramount. The successful candidate will be providing a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people. You will be working peripatetically across various partner services in Cumbria (including schools, colleges) and will be working to ensure the best outcome is achieve for the client.
You would be working in close collaboration with local CAMHS and NHS services and would be delivering a wide range of Primary Mental Health Early Intervention services. This service provides one to one therapeutic services, training to other professionals and advice and support to parents, carers and the universal workforce.
You will form part of a dedicated and professional team and will focus on reducing the current waiting list and on improving children and young people's access to mental health services. Due to the nature of this role it is also essential for candidates to have experience working therapeutically with Children and Young People.
The ideal candidate will also need to have experience of working with clients using a range of therapeutic methods which can include Drama Therapy, Talk Therapy, Art Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, CBT and IAPT.
In order to be considered for this position is it essential that candidates either hold or be working towards BACP/ UKCP accreditation.
