Job description
We are looking for a secretary to join the team on a fixed term basis. Your primary role will be to provide excellent administrative support to members of our Area Leadership team. This will include tracking, collating and organising information, emails and files; managing calendars, arranging travel and accommodation and being the point of contact for the managers you support. You will be organising and capturing actions in meetings, drafting and preparing documents, sharing information with different teams across the area.

The team
You will be part of a friendly group of secretaries, based in a number of different offices, supporting the Area Leadership team. You will work closely with the Area Director's personal assistants. The secretarial team is part of the Customers and Engagement team within the East Anglia area of the Environment Agency.

Experience/skills required
We are seeking an experienced secretary with good verbal and written communication skills. You'll need to be organised, customer focused and a good communicator. Team work and a positive attitude are essential. You'll have a proven ability to work unsupervised, work well within teams, manage your own workloads and meet tight deadlines. Other key requirements for this job include IT confidence and literacy including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Some ad hoc travel to other offices within the area may be required.

The grade rate is £18,392 pro rata - full time/part time hours considered.

A full UK driving licence is desirable.
