We are currently looking for a part time Night Support Worker in Bristol, where our care home provides specialist residential care for children and young people aged 7-19 with communication and associated difficulties.
Our students may be on the autistic spectrum, have Asperger's Syndrome or other difficulties that impact their emotional health and well-being and create barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:
At night your role will be to provide the highest level of care for our children and young adults, from assisting them in getting ready for bed, encouraging a healthy sleeping pattern where possible and of course regularly checking all of those in your care at regular intervals through the night and dealing with any incidences that occur.
This is a waking night position, so in the quiet periods you will also be expected to get involved in some light housekeeping duties.
In the morning you'll then assist our day Support Workers with getting our children and young adults up and ready for the day.
With full training and continued support you will take responsibility for ensuring that all their medical needs are met including the administration and recording of prescribed medication.
The key to this role will be your ability to communicate effectively, build trusting relationships and provide the support required to enable our children and young adults to become more autonomous.

Experience:
It is a tough yet totally rewarding role. Ultimately we are looking for people with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the children and young adults that we work with. So whilst previous experience would be highly beneficial; it's not essential. What's more important to us is that you can demonstrate the right attitude to make a difference.
If you do not already have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, but believe this role is right for you, then we will provide the support (and cover the costs) for you to achieve this; and will continue to support your development throughout your career with us with pay rises to match your progression.

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
* Willingness to work towards achieving Level 3 Diploma Residential Childcare (funded by us).
* A robust, positive and creative approach in meeting the needs of children and young adults.
* Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
* High level of resilience and patience
* Must have a full UK driving licence
* The ability to work an average of 30 hours per week typically worked over 3 week night rota pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. Occasional day shifts may be required.

Salary: £19,900 - £21,946 * Pro Rata.

If this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you then please get in touch by sending your CV or call on (phone number removed) Option 2
