Job Details

We’re looking for a Head of IT to lead the function in its day to day activity and oversee and deliver a key project designed to identify our client’s future technology, data and digital requirements.

Position: Head of Information Technology

Location: Northampton

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: circa £60,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

The Role

The Head of IT will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and External Affairs (M&EA) who also oversees the charity’s digital function.

Our client is looking for someone to perform three main functions:

 

  • Provide strong leadership as a functional Director, living their values, leading, developing and motivating the IT Team in a culturally sensitive manner, and role-modelling excellent business partnering and customer service.
  • Strengthen the stability and security of their IT and support systems. To ensure IT controls, processes, procedures and analysis deliver against data governance requirements and are working effectively for both the IT team and the wider organisation. Work alongside the Deputy Director of Digital to embed their integrated approach to information asset management and improve the wider organisation’s understanding of the IT function’s role within it.
  • With the Executive Director of M&EA, the Deputy Director of Digital and external support as required to review the charities approach to Information Systems, IT infrastructure and organisation resource and capabilities, working with stakeholders across the organisation to establish requirements and make recommendations to bridge gaps. Help design an effective future approach to data and technology for the charity.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of managing IT operations and systems development. You will have experience managing a team across multiple sites for service support, systems and infrastructure.
