Becoming a Senior DC Consultant with Employee Benefits:

What you will do:

  • Working with the Head of DC and Senior DC team to develop and deliver DC practice strategy and business plans

  • Managing a team of senior DC Consultants, DC Consultants and Engagement Consultants

  • Reviewing team performance against business plan and as appropriate taking or recommending to the Head of DC corrections or improvements to ensure that Business Plan is met or exceeded

  • Help to define and deliver the strategy for the DC area with particular emphasis on; a. Capita Employee Benefits' DC trust and contract pension products

  • b. Pension Scheme Governance

  • c. DC investment design

  • d. DC pension consultancy

  • Maximising opportunities for revenue generation and effective cost control

  • Producing reports to a standard and frequency agreed with the Head of DC

  • Leading own team of consultants, chairing regular team meetings and ensuring that team objectives are properly communicated, fully understood and met

  • Maintaining and develops a breadth of knowledge about all the services offered by the business;

  • Possessing excellent communication skills and therefore the ability to articulate effectively propositions on behalf of your practice area;

  • Working as part of an client account team, ensuring effective communication between clients and the client servicing team(s);

  • Maintaining a client focus and concern for quality, which manifests itself in a high degree of client satisfaction and client/ business retention;

  • Ensuring all client meetings are undertaken on time and to a high standard, prepares agendas, meeting notes and appropriate action points followed up;

  • Ensuring that clients are run in accordance with the client agreement;

  • Keeping up to date with legislation, market trends and best practice;

  • Undertaking other tasks or specific project work as necessary;

  • Undertaking and records sufficient professional development for the role;

  • Treating clients, business contacts and colleagues fairly

Your experience will include:

Essential

  • Experience in a senior management position

  • Experience in the pensions management sector, with an understanding of the spectrum of disciplines in the wider employee benefits sector

  • Experience in developing, commercialising and delivering DC Pension solutions

  • Experience in building, leading and delivering through teams

  • Powerful stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills

  • Proven commercial instincts

Desirable

  • APMI, ACII or equivalent / CIPD or equivalent
