£5,313.09 per annum for 12 hours per week based at Sunbury Adult Learning Centre, The Avenue, Sunbury, TW16 5DZ.

The working hours are 12pm to 4pm on Monday and Thursdays; 9am to 1pm on Fridays and is term time Only for 39 weeks per year.

About the role

Surrey Adult Learning provide a wide range of daytime, evening and Saturday courses and learning opportunities for adults. The provision includes leisure courses such as arts and crafts and languages; qualification courses such as GCSE's in English and Maths; classes which support those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities; classes aimed at parents/carers to help them support their children and improve their own skills; and an outreach provision aimed at vulnerable groups in the community who would not normally engage in any form of learning. 

We have seven centres across North and South West Surrey and are looking to appoint a Centre Assistant for its Sunbury Centre.

You should have a strong customer service background together with general administrative experience to ensure the effective operation of the Centre. You will also be expected to provide high quality direct customer care for the users of the Centre. Previous experience of a similar customer service role and administration would be beneficial, and you should have an interest in adult learning.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be well organised. Alongside this you will be a strong team player with excellent administration skills and the ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and prioritise as required. High standards of accuracy and attention to detail are also required. You will need to be able to demonstrate a practical and confident approach as the role involves some lone working.
