Test / Development Engineers sought for 4-month contract to work on off-highway vehicle test and development projects. This role is based in the Test and Development team to work on the delivery of new machine development programmes.

Test and Development Engineer Requirements:

* Good working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain and electronics.

* Have demonstrable vehicle service or development experience.

* Demonstrate the ability to interpret standards and develop/test machines in accordance with the requirements.

* Competent and logical problem-solving techniques.

* Demonstrate a sound grasp of engineering principles.

* Ability to interface with other members of the team including Design, Manufacturing, Service and Marketing.

* Be a self-starter, demonstrate the ability to make things happen.

* Have the ability to communicate clearly across the organisation.

* Require good computer literacy and instrumentation/data acquisition experience.

* An understanding of off highway construction or agricultural equipment would be advantageous.

* You will have a strong Engineering background, possessing a Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience.

* You need to be a team player and should be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm as well as a sense of urgency and ownership of projects they are involved with.

Test and Development Engineer Role:

* Conducting test and development programmes to support new machines and systems.

* Problem analysis and the proposal of design solutions.

* Electronic system diagnosis and development.

* Compilation of test & development reports.

* Development test procedures and customer acceptance standards.

* Design, commissioning and operation of test rigs.

* Fitting, calibration and operation of instrumentation as required.

* Liaison with internal/external customers/departments/suppliers, as required, during projects.
