Vacancy working within the Community mental health team for older people, based in Epsom.

A Community Psychiatric Nurse is needed to join a busy team working with older people in the community. The role involves assessing, supporting and treating the elderly who have mental health needs. The role is to commence ASAP and runs through until 28 June 2019. The role is four days a week, working within Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. There is also opportunity to work part time, subject to negotiation.

Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and must have previous experience working in a community setting. Experience helping with older individuals would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own caseload, and to be able to produce complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.

A knowledge of ‘System One’ computer system is required and an enhanced DBS check is essential.
