What you'll be doing:

▪ You'll understand and direct how components and services are developed, tested and progressed within their Engineering discipline.

▪ We'll want you to deliver business value through sound and fully rounded engineering methods and principles, ensuring platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices.

▪ You'll be accountable for patterns and practices to be communicated across wider Engineering Community.

▪ Understand and ensure industry best practices are understood by our Engineering Community and related business functions.

▪ Develop your own technical domain knowledge and take responsibility for your own development journey and those of more junior Engineers.

What we're looking for:

*Strong DevOps/SRE background and deep knowledge of agile development practices

*Experience across the entire software development life-cycle from design, through build to production and monitoring.

*Well versed with continuous integration/continuous delivery and understand how to get to continuous deployments.

*Have experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling along with Infrastructure As Code using Terraform or Ansible.

*Experience working in a cloud environment ideally GCP, Azure or AWS.

*Be comfortable teaching others about engineering best practice and being a role model to the team.

*A high level of technical maturity and to be on the forefront of emerging technology
