We are looking for a talented and confident Digital Content and Community Manager who is able to create audience-centric, insight-driven digital content and engagement strategies in support one of Government’s most successful, award-winning and high-profile communications campaigns – THINK! road safety. 

The campaign aims to save lives on our roads by addressing a range of road safety issues, from drink driving and speeding to the use of mobile phones whilst driving. Our ground-breaking Mates Matter strategy focuses on young male drivers aged 17-24, who are five times more likely to be killed or seriously injured on the road compared with drivers over 25.

The strategy looks to shift group norms among young males through highly targeted communications and channels, from Instagram stories and influencer activity to working with media and brand partners like LADBible and Heineken. 

We are an energetic, ambitious and innovative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building the digital footprint of the THINK! road safety campaign, driving our creative content forward and helping us to tell engaging stories in a powerful way. This role requires someone with a strategic mindset and a blend of skills in community management, content creation and data analysis.

Job description

In this role, you will take the lead for all things social media and implement robust and effective campaigns to achieve the project aims. The main responsibilities of the role include: 

• Social Media Management 
• Content Creation 
• Digital Strategy 
• Project Management 

Responsibilities

You will be comfortable working within a unique, fast-paced and often complex environment and will need to work flexibly to manage multiple projects, taking a real lead on social media platforms and driving through innovate projects. 

An excellent relationship builder, you will be highly capable of managing stakeholders from a range of different business areas and ensuring that the key role priorities are achieved. You will be highly adept and confident in working under pressure in a range of scenarios to achieve key strategic communication objectives remaining calm under pressure. 

Experienced in Social Media and content creation you will thrive in high pressure situations and be able to remain calm and maintain own focus on objectives throughout as well as that of the wider communication team under your leadership.
