Would you like to be part of an award winning business? An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Part Time Assistant Portfolio Manager to join us in Roche.

This is a Permanent Position working 18.5 hours per week, we are open on the working days and hours to suit the ideal candidate. We are offering a Salary of £9,250 per year.

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will provide support and administrative compliance to a Portfolio of accommodation and 3rd parties comprising of a variety of contracted housing management services through MHM's registered providers. The role of Assistant Portfolio Manager will be part of a dynamic Team.

You will be providing support for tenancy management, the team support the facilities and tenancy sustainment, income management, welfare benefits advice, ensuring properties are in good condition and health and safety risks are identified and corrected.

Responsibilities

Assisting with and sign up new tenants and ensure they are aware of the terms & condition of the tenancy and assisting with housing benefit applications, advise tenants how to use the equipment within the property
Carry out checkouts of properties and compile specification of works required in order to re let, ensuring the property meet the contractual & legal standards prior re letting
To liaise with the Income Collection team to ensure that rental income is maximised, sign posting tenants to welfare and benefits services and or issuing warning or notices regarding non payment
Identify repairs required to property to ensure property meet contractual standards and make decision on responsibility to repair
To manage tenancy breaches (eg noise nuisance) and anti-social behaviour to include gathering and analysing evidence, reporting, preparation and service of appropriate statutory notices and attending court to present evidence and attending evictions when necessary
To identify clients that require additional support and signpost/arrange support as appropriate. Liaising with support providers and other statutory agencies to assist clients in maintaining their tenancies.
Collection of data from property visits and updating IT systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date

Applicant Profile - In order to be successful in this role, you will have previous high level administration and project based, experience within property, lettings, social housing or tenancy would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for candidates with efficiency and detailed levels of administration coupled with multi tasking and influencing skills. A high level of customer and 3rd part contact is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be required for this position and you should be motivated, able to use your own initiative and have the ability to stay calm under pressure. In addition, exceptional organisational and time management skills are important and you will have strong IT skills (Word, Excel and on-line systems).

Due to the nature of the role, candidates should be willing to undertake a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and will have a clean full driving licence.
