About the School and the Maths Teacher post:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Maths Teacher, ideally with previous experience working with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

* We are looking for a Maths Teacher to work with young people with a range of special needs including SEMH, Autism and ADHD.

* You will be teaching small groups of 4 students and will have LSA’s in the class to support you. There may also be some 1:1 teaching involved.

* You will teach classes across key stages 3 & 4 and the students will be of varied abilities, hence good differentiation skills are required.

* The successful candidate will have lead responsibility for ICT within the school.

* You will be required to Plan and implement an ambitious curriculum up to level 2.

* The role is initially for a 1 year fixed term contract but there is a strong possibility for it to become permanent for the right person.

* Minimum rate of pay - £21000 – £32035 pa

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Maths Teacher position:

* Previous experience teaching Maths to at least Level 2, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this in not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.

* Previous experience working with SEMH would be advantageous as would a good understanding of Special Education and Alternative Provisions.

* A passion for both Maths and for working with children with SEN.

* Pro Active and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.

To be eligible for the Maths Teacher post through Prospero Teaching you must:

* Hold Right to Work in the UK

* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

* Provide two professional child related references
