Job Vacancy: Activities Coordinator (Recreation and Well-Being Coordinator)
Location: Silverpoint Court Residential Care Centre, Silverpoint Marine, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 7TN
Contracted hours: Part-Time Days (21 Hours per week)
Hourly rate of pay: £9.00

We are looking for a Recreation and Well-Being Coordinator who is passionate about joining the Care profession and making a difference to the lives of our residents. You will be energetic, motivated and creative, with a genuine drive to provide high-quality leisure activities and entertainments for those in our care.

What does the role involve?
As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

  • Provide stimulation and exercise to residents through a wide and varied social and physical activities programme
  • Assess the mental and physical needs of all residents regularly to ensure appropriate social and physical activities are provided
  • Liaise closely with residents, their relatives/friends and our staff to create personalised social and physical activities that will engage our residents and reflect their interests and hobbies
  • Encourage staff and relatives to become involved in any social and physical activities programmes
  • Develop community links with local groups, i.e. churches, schools and encourage a variety of events and social and physical activities to take place in the home
  • Work safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary

  • Confident and enthusiastic, bringing motivation and energy into our caring environment

  • Excellent communication skills
