Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic CCAB qualified accountant for L&Q’s Care and Support business. The division has annual revenues of £43m and manages a portfolio of 6,000 supported housing properties. Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for provision of a full management accounting service for the department including detailed accounts production with commentary, budgeting and forecasting, business planning and year end audit.

A critical part of your role will be to act as a primary Business Partner, collaborating and building relationships with senior staff including directors. You will be expected to become a specialist in your area, assisting the department head and other stakeholder in making strategic decisions for the business.

To take advantage of this opportunity you need to be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who is interested in a career in finance and can meet the following criteria:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA)
  • Experience of management or financial accounting in a corporate entity or, alternatively, an audit background
  • Have excellent technical accounting knowledge
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player with the ability to influence people at senior levels
  • Have a collaborative and flexible attitude
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Have excellent computer, financial systems and analytical skills
