The Company

An experienced marketing and strategy consultancy business that specialises in retail financial services industry are now looking for a financial specialist to join their team.

This exciting company established in 2009 and have clients from across the globe that utilise their marketing and strategic expertise to deliver payment products and services.

Role

Responsible for the financial health of the business. Produce management accounts and analysis to support accurate pricing and performance management. Support the directors when making sound business decisions, both in the long and short term.

General Responsibilities

* Determine the cost of running the business by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data etc.

* Establish and maintain cost policies (especially expenses) and procedures

* Identify cost saving initiatives (e.g. utilities, phones etc)

* Protect operations and company integrity by keeping financial information confidential at all times

* Review employee expenses against policy and propose sign off to directors

* Key data into company system

* Maintain records / inventory of company assets and valuation

Management Accounts & Reporting

* Identify financial position by comparing and analysing actual costs against budgets

* Support the budgeting process with appropriate forecasts and analysis

* Develop monthly / quarterly, 6 monthly and annual management accounts and expense analysis

* Track expenses and resourcing against project forecasts and budgets

* Manage the project resource analysis to provide better ongoing price estimates and forecasts

* Present financial reports and insights to directors for formal meetings and to support long and short-term decision making

Contracts, Legals, Pricing and Invoicing

* Review contracts and proposals for accuracy and acceptability

* Understand and adhere to relevant financial regulations and legislation

* Track quotes (SoWs) and PO status

* Issue invoices to clients based on services rendered and SoW position

* Validate invoices received against items or services received

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Advanced qualification in accounting, business, economics, finance or another related field.

Over 5 years of experience in a comparable finance role is required.

Superior mathematical skills; leadership and employee management skills; understanding of data privacy standards; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; deep understanding of business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organisational and planning skills; research and analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; computer skills; multi-tasking abilities; integrity, honesty
