JOB DESCRIPTION FOR: PERIPATETIC NIGHT NURSE (RGN/RMN)

LOCATION: SHROPSHIRE & TELFORD (based across 6 residential homes)

JOB TITLE: PERIPATETIC NIGHT NURSE (RGN/RMN)

SALARY: £20.00 p/h + mileage

HOURS: PART TIME 36 or 24 hrs p/w (12-hour shifts)

THE COMPANY: Our client is a not for profit organisation with 14 care homes in Shropshire providing EMI, Nursing and Residential facilities. The location in Shrewsbury is a purpose-built home from home, with 90 en-suite bedrooms which provides the comforts of a welcoming, friendly and supportive place to live.

THE ROLE: Our client is seeking qualified nurses for peripatetic night roles. Nurses at our client's homes take responsibility for clinical nursing care, including assessing, planning, implementing and continually & regularly reviewing care needs to provide a high standard of direct nursing care to service users, based on assessment.

These roles provide a qualified and dedicated nurse with a change of scenery within a challenging role, working across our client's 6 residential homes based in the Shropshire/Telford area.

Are you/Do you have:

RGN/RMN Qualification
Active Nurse PIN
Experience of administering medication
Experience of working as an RGN/RMN with a minimum of 1 years' experience in a health & social care setting
Experience of caring for individuals in a health care setting to include completing personal care and understanding dementia & mental health needs
Experience of supervising, guiding & leading a team, developing team members whilst delegating tasks appropriately & maintaining motivation
Understanding of safeguarding adults at risk
Understanding of regulations & legislation within the care profession
Understanding of key care principles, national minimum standards CQC

Working within the NMC codes of conduct and scope of practice, as well as organisational policies and procedures to deliver & lead high quality care as part of the care team using a person cantered approach
Ensuring the individual needs of service users are met, providing opportunities for individuals to use their skills and enhance their quality of life, whilst maintaining their independence and privacy
