Package description

We are seeking to recruit one full time & one part time (Job Share) Allocations & Mobility Officer (s) to join the team in a very busy front-line position primarily having responsibility for the effective and successful day-to-day allocation of settled accommodation to both Richmond and Wandsworth applicants.

The full time position is 36 hours per week and the part time (job share) role is for 18 hours per week.

As well as allocating all types of properties to social and private sector landlords, you will also be responsible for the activity of under occupation, housing mobility schemes and assessing mutual exchanges of tenancies.

You will have the skills and abilities to deal sensitively with homeless families and single vulnerable people, experience of dealing with stressful situations and possess excellent written and communication skills. Applicants must be able to work in a pressured environment; ensuring they provide attention to detail and meet tight deadlines and with a minimum of supervision. They must have an understanding of IT programmes including Excel & Word.

You will have an understanding, commitment and ability to implement the Council’s Equal Opportunities policy and the ability to attend accompany clients to property viewings and interview on a face to face basis. It is not essential that you have access to a vehicle but if you do you must have a conviction free driver’s licence with the use of a car.
