Cooksongold is a leading global supplier of precious metals in gold, silver and alloys. Based in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, we are the UK's largest one-stop shop for the jewellery maker.
We are currently looking for a Sales Co-ordinator / Customer Service Advisor to join our busy Contact Centre team. Ideally with a jewellery / silversmith qualification, you will provide support and assistance to all types of customers.
This position is critical as you will be at the forefront of the business. As such, you will learn about the jewellery making trade, test your ability to meet targets and build your experience in sales.
In return, we will provide you with on-the-job training, guidance and the support you need to build on your existing expertise.
Duties include:
- Receiving inbound customers calls, taking orders and dealing with queries professionally and within a timely manner
- Providing online support via email and live chat
- Promoting sales and products by cross and up-selling products
- Reporting potential sales leads to the manager for follow up actions
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A jewellery / silversmithing qualification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with previous customer service experience / experience of working in a call centre environment
- Ability to prioritise and schedule work to meet demands set by the department, company or external customer
- Good IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility in peak periods i.e. with overtime / weekend working
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
Hours of work:
- Our contact centre is open Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm. We are looking for a part time or full time advisor.
Benefits:
- Salary of £9.20 per hour (dependent upon experience)
- Up to 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (for full time hours)
- Company pension scheme with employer contributions matched up to 8%
