Job title: Customer Service Centre Support
Location: Mere Way, Ruddington, NG11 6JW
Contract: Full time, permanent contract, working rotational shifts (core shift patterns but we will endeavour to support flexibility in shifts as required)
Salary: £18,000 pa.
Start Date: 11th November
The opportunity
DCC manages the data and communications network that connects smart meters to energy suppliers. With the largest digital infrastructure in the country, there are exciting times ahead, as we install 53 million smart meters across the UK. And that's where you come in. As a Customer Service Centre Support, you'll log, investigate and escalate technical or engineering issues from both customers and engineers, including British Gas or EDF Energy. You'll use templates to record queries and use a set of instructions to fix the issue, find out more or assign to a third party. There's lots of room and a clear path for progression in this role, as well as a great team environment.
The unit is open 24/7 so you'll either do day shifts, which are Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00 or 12:00-20:00. You'll also work 1 in 4 weekends, which will be an 8am or 12pm start with a day off on either side. However, please do talk to us about your shift requirements and we'll be as flexible as we can be in order to support great candidates into our business.
Who we're looking for
- A fast learner, you're also detail orientated and will be able to read and digest large pieces of information - and be comfortable challenging them if they're not correct.
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- You're a great communicator
- Ideally with some customer service experience under your belt.
- You'll need to be able to demonstrate your IT literacy and familiarity with Microsoft packages.
