Job Details

Grow your project and portfolio management experience in Macquarie Capitals’ Infrastructure & Energy Group. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure into the renewable energy and asset investment space.

As a Senior Analyst/Associate you will be responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting on all of our Green Investment Group principal investments and portfolio as well as third party assets. Close cooperation will be required with Asset Managers, Deal teams, senior management, Health & Safety, Finance teams and our Risk Department. You will deliver detailed quarterly operational and calculation updates to the Macquarie Capital senior management team. From this, you will proactively analyse the impact of regulatory changes and the economic environment on the portfolio.  As a part of our team you will also take part in preparation of regular reports to third parties with in-depth analysis of asset performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2-3 years’ experience gained in an investment banking/project finance environment or an advisory firm working with financial services clients. Ideally you will have some experience or an interest to learn about the renewable energy industry. You will be able to demonstrate strong skills in providing risk analysis, financial reporting and/or financial modelling.

If you have strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mind and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. It also undertakes principal investing activities globally in support of its client activities.

Advisory activities are divided into industry groups, reflecting key areas of expertise. With staff in 37 offices across 22 locations, Macquarie Capital is a truly global business. A role in the team will expose you to a dynamic working environment and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions whilst working in a business with the best people in the industry.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
