Project Co-ordinator – Love4Life (Part Time, Contract)
Loughborough, Leicestershire (with travel to sites throughout Loughborough and Charnwood)

Do you have experience of supporting young people facing a range of challenges? Want to get involved with a project that is supporting teenage girls to increase their knowledge of healthy relationships, sex and self-esteem? If so, this is a brilliant opportunity to get involved with the Love4Life Project as a Project Co-ordinator.

About Us

We are TwentyTwenty, a charity dedicated to building bright futures for young people. We help 11 – 24 year olds who find themselves disadvantaged and disengaged to achieve sustained further education or employment.

We support the delivery of the Love4Life Project, which provides targeted relationship and sex education by supporting young people who are facing difficulties in these areas, including sexual health, staying safe and the potential risk of sexual exploitation. Love4Life’s specialism is helping teenage girls build healthy self-esteem and body image, as well as having a strong focus on quality relationships and sex education.

We are now looking for a female Project Co-ordinator to support the delivery of the Love4Life project, working on a part time basis on a contract until June 2020.

The Benefits

- Salary of £18,177 pro rata
- Support a project that is empowering disadvantaged and vulnerable teenage girls
- Vibrant and welcoming work environment

This is an amazing opportunity to engage with disadvantaged young women and support them through a challenging time in their life, giving them the confidence, tools and support they need to flourish.

We think that young people are amazing. Despite the challenges they face, they are full of potential, and we believe they are resources to be developed, not problems to be solved. If our ethos resonates with you, we want you to join our team.

The Role

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will support disadvantaged and vulnerable teenage girls (aged 11-19) who are taking part in the Love4Life Project in Loughborough and Charnwood.

The other part of your role will involve supporting the Empowering Girls Project in partnership with Youth Sports Trust, which ensures that PE, sport and physical activity are relevant and motivating for girls.

Specifically, you will:

- Work with schools and the local community to reach girls who will benefit from the project
- Deliver 121 pastoral work, after-school girls’ groups and in-school lunch clubs
- Create activities that are engaging, challenging and inspirational
- Recruit and co-ordinate Love4Life sessional workers, volunteers and placement students
- Perform a range of admin tasks

About You

To join us as a Project Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Experience of working with young people with a range of learning, behavioural, emotional and social challenges
- Experience of supporting young people via 121 support sessions and group settings with a strong emphasis on youth work skills and practice
- A significant interest in developing young people’s knowledge of healthy relationships, sex and self-esteem
- A strong awareness of disadvantaged young people’s needs and/or concerns and the ability to engage them
- Persistence, patience and empathy whilst challenging and supporting individuals with complex needs

Please note, as this role involves working with vulnerable young women, only female applicants will be progressed as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

We’d like to hear from you if you’ve previously worked as a Young People’s Support Worker, Support Worker, Programme Co-ordinator, Project Co-ordinator, Young People’s Project Co-ordinator, Service Co-ordinator, or Young Person’s Social Worker.

This is a part time role, working three days per week, Wednesday – Friday. This may change with each school term.

Please note, applications will be reviewed as they are received and we may close this vacancy early should a suitable applicant be found. As such, we encourage candidates to submit applications as soon as possible.

Webrecruit and TwentyTwenty are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.

So, if you want to take on a rewarding long-term contract as a Project Co-ordinator, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency
