The Business and Investment Management team focuses on developing insights to make better informed decision about investment, risk and performance. Drawing together data from across our internal teams and suppliers, they will develop improved data capability with a focus on improving the quality, availability and decision-making power of data. This protects the integrity of the regular reporting the team run, as well as ensuring responses to data requests are completed quickly and accurately. Business and Investment Management are also responsible for drawing together the capital demand for investment in the estate, ensuring capital is invested responsibly and spend progresses in line with forecast.

As part of the Business and Investment Management Team, this role provides support to the Head of Function to drive the development of insights capability and strategic recommendations to Group Property, by bringing together internal and third party data to better understand the property estate. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term plans and processes to deliver Group Property oversight and assurance and agreeing remediation plans as necessary.

Our ideal Senior manager, Insights will:


* Drive the development of insights capabilities, evaluate risks and develop strategic recommendations to Group Property.
* Acts as a source of professional expertise to evaluate, review, investigate, challenge & mitigate the potential for risk in assigned areas of the business.
* Attend governance meetings and present findings to wider group.
* Challenge and advise areas of the business to ensure risks are understood, mitigated and controlled.
* Lead the development of processes to deliver Group Property oversight and assurance.
* Oversee the management of the production/delivery of data analysis and insight to support a range of risk management processes.
* Working collaboratively with the business to drive maximum benefit and awareness through analysis and insight.
* Responsible for managing data to enable performance to be tracked and improved.
* Explore and encourage use of new technologies to drive efficiencies.

 

To deliver this role effectively, you'll need:


* Experience in leading and raising team performance by building trust, communicating effectively and appreciating individual inputs.
* Strong problem solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to challenge the status quo.
* To be highly motivated with an ability to build strong collaborative working relationships.
* Communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior colleagues both internally and externally.
* Strong commercial awareness and experience in financial/investment analysis and reporting.
* Knowledge of the latest technologies deployed within the Group and across the wider industry.
* Experience of coaching and/or mentoring more junior members of the team.
