In a nutshell

Leading a small team of up to 5 Finance Analysts, you will position develop and lead the production and delivery of analysis and reporting on a regular basis for Company reporting, including forecasts and Budget planning. This will include Month End results.

You’ll manage the heavy lift of data supply and generation of insights needed for our Leadership team to take decisions and, along with your team, you will develop detailed models to support strategic business cases and manage ongoing financial control.

Maintaining a close relationship with our Leadership team and linking in closely with the Strategy team will ensure that the immediate term supports long term strategy in this role.


Day to day

As part of Financial Management, you will ensure production of the regular reporting and analysis at critical points, e.g. Month End, Budget and enable the team to assemble insights from past performance and communicate accordingly.

Offering detailed insight into the forecast showing risks and opportunities and developing improved reporting, either progressing existing reports or developing new items according need.

Driving cost savings and tracking these to ensure that progress integrated into the forecast and assembling revenue opportunities, delivering analysis to indicate the end value offered.

Challenging financial process inefficiencies and assembling groups across Finance to make recommendations.

You will evaluate projects and initiatives focusing attention and resource to our key initiatives and projects and many other critical risk/Opportunity and investment cases.

You will understand and reporting and challenging project costs and benefits including KPIs and post investment appraisal.

Consolidating and analysing the financial impacts of our key changes and decisions, offering clear insights from detailed financial models and providing regular reporting output owning the financial content of the Business case and control of changes.

With a focus on Financial Strategy, Planning and Budgets, you’ll deliver insight to support Business Strategic decisions and assemble the long range planning ensuring that this is inline and supported by the Business.

Offering finance support to the Business Units and establishing effective internal controls which will involve working with Financial Accounting to improve processes and finance efficiency and alongside all Financial Control functions to bring about a well-controlled environment.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have significant post-qualification experience in Accounting and have Analyst level experience particularly delivering profit improvements in a significant division/business unit. You’ll be well versed in providing regular finance support and reporting into key areas of a business and have demonstrable evidence of personally driving business improvement through financial analysis /process improvement.

As an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), you will be able to distil complex information into clear and simple messages and, with you’ll have the ability and desire to manage, and gain experience in leadership and to create the effective supply of high value output.
