This important role at a Grade 1 Outstanding Training Provider requires you to deliver a comprehensive curriculum including Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT to small groups of learners who receive additional learning support and guidance to assist with their studies and their programme of education at Nova Training. The learner’s individual needs can range from mild to moderate educational needs and/or disabilities. Your role will be to provide consideration to the needs of a small group with support provided by additional learning support staff within the classroom to develop independence and improve the skills of young people for their individual futures. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in working as within a SEND educational environment, and preferably have previous experience working with the post 16 age group. The role may require working across several locations at times with hours of work negotiable at interview.

As part of company policy at Nova Training, every candidate must be screened in Math’s, English and ICT skills. Applicants will be asked to undertake assessments during the interview screening process and will be required to demonstrate a level of competence, to qualify for employment within Nova Training.
Essential Attributes:
* Previous experience in working with groups of young people with specific barriers to learning
* A minimum of GCSE C grade or level 4 in Maths and English or equivalent
* Ability to work in challenging situations
* Responsible, empathetic, with a patient manner
* Be able to encourage and motivate your learning cohort to attain high levels of achievement
Desirable Attributes:
* Previous experience in working with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties
* Previous experience in delivering training and/or support to the 16-24 age group
* Information, Advice and Guidance Qualification
* Experience in the field of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
