Job Details

Manage all physical oil transactions and inventories throughout EMEA, working with the business to identify and mitigate issues.

You will be working closely with clients to manage their business flow and be responsible for overseeing the execution of the structured oil transaction portfolio within a cross-commodity team for the EMEA region.

Your key responsibilities will be to effectively manage the operational risks associated with complex structured transactions covering off and understanding the credit, market and settlement risks. This will include risk management of contracts and ensuring deal entry and trade execution is effective and robust in line with established processes. You will also be expected to facilitate new and effective controls and reporting in customs, insurance and other related logistics disciplines.

You will build a robust knowledge of deal types within our platform (RightAngle), as well as with its interaction with Macquarie systems and processes, and lastly, how the system interacts when building deals. You will collaborate internally with other support areas in tax, market operations and legal.

In this role, it will be important for you to leverage your understanding of risk, profit and loss reporting and position management as well as bring previous exposure to team management and physical oil, and, ideally, a strong track record with using RightAngle.

You will have experience with operating crude oil and/or oil products commercial agreements, inventory management, exchange and buy/sell agreements, and offtake agreements.

This is important and diverse role. You will also need strong stakeholder and customer facing skills and an ability to manage on-going projects and business development alongside day to day role.
