Our client is a professional and passionate care company who, due to continued expansion are looking to recruit a number of Care Assistants in the Southampton area.

Position: Care Assistant
Location: Southampton (community based)
Job type: Permanent (contracted hours – minimum of 20 hours per week)
Hours: Full time and part time roles available (Some 7am starts and every other weekend)
Salary: £8.50 Monday to Friday / £9.50 Saturday and Sunday (plus bank holiday enhancements)

About the role of Care Assistant:

As a Care Assistant you will ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing. This role is incredibly rewarding, everyday will be different. You will provide Service Users the chance to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community.

You will be required to ensure care plans are followed and will be responsible for informing office management of any changes to Service Users needs.

About You:

As a Care Assistant no previous experience is necessary, however, you will be a dedicated, empathic and caring individual. You will ideally understand person-centered care and be able to treat people as individuals and respecting their choices.

Our client is committed to delivering quality care and it’s essential you strive for the highest standards in everything you do. The ability to focus on improvement and being open to learning new skills and knowledge is crucial.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided, we very much welcome previous experience working as a Home Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Domiciliary Carer, Community Care Worker, Social Care Worker etc.
