Why is this your next step?

Worldpay's growth is due in large part to our highly-sophisticated products and services. By offering some of the most advanced and user-friendly payments processing options available, we continue our growth by beating our competitors. Enter the need for skilled engineers who can build the tools we need to continually improve upon our product offerings. From software to technical architecture and more, investing in our team of engineers is investing in our future.

The Enterprise Architect role defines, evolves and maintains the target architecture across the organisation.

How will you contribute?

In this role, you’ll be our in-house expert and thought leader who is able to drive innovation internally and represent Worldpay externally at conferences and industry forums. You’ll drive new and emerging technologies and solutions, collaborate on strategy and product roadmaps, as well as deliver significant business results. You’ll be accountable for the architecture for business divisions or global system domains, create and maintain target and transitional architectures, as well as support Enterprise Solution Architecture for the most complex IT projects requiring state-of-the art solutioning.

An important part of the role is driving architectural decisions at a strategic level to advance the IT roadmap, including the assessment of new technologies and technical debt that best fit business and project needs. You’ll lead teams of multiple parties at the business unit, program or project level, and evaluate the architecture and design of external products for the purposes of partnering or M&A. You’ll work independently and consult with Worldpay's Senior Leadership team on high level, complex issues, and provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.

Why you?

You’ll have previous experience in enterprise architecture and experience building large scale and reliable systems. We are looking for deep expertise across different technology domains, for example Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Operations and Security. Experience operating in an agile environment is important, ideally using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You’ll have knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Zachman and have strong analytical and creative problem-solving Skills. You’ll have experience facilitating workshops involving cross-functional stakeholders, have financial modelling experience and an understanding of IT Finance. The ability to present to senior leadership internally (CIO / CTO / CSO) and at external conferences is key to the success in this role. Experience in the payments or financial technology industry is advantageous.
