Our Kinship and Fostering team have started a journey this past year and would like you to consider lending your talents to help us gain further momentum.
Kinship is a discreet specialism within the wider team which covers special guardianship and connected persons foster care. This is a great opportunity to work for a newly established ‘one-stop’ shop team, whose focus is on the assessment and on-going support of kinship carers. You will be joining a highly experienced, dedicated, passionate team of professionals, whom have an enviable reputation of delivering high quality assessments.
We are looking for bright innovative people to join our friendly team and having recently received a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted, there has never been a better time to join!
What we are doing for our social workers:
Working patterns to fit for your life and commitments. Apply for either full time (37 hours) or part time role (hours to be agreed). We also offer flexible working options from across Wiltshire including working from home and full-time hours over a compressed fortnight.
* Provide free parking in the locality of most of our hubs.
* Provide you with a laptop and mobile phone, so you can work flexibly from any location across the county enabling you to be more effective and flexible in your practice.
* We have a variety of progression opportunities; including Practice Educator training, CMI accredited leadership programs and career paths into management.
* Enable you to use your experience to work innovatively with foster carers and their families to ensure our children remain safe and well cared for.
* Locate you within an established and supportive team which includes support workers, child psychologists, ASYE’s, assessing and supervising social workers.
* We will provide monthly reflective supervision and management feedback in a culture of learning and development.
* We offer an attractive rewards and relocation package, as well as the option to purchase additional holiday, use of a pool car scheme and free council parking within close proximity to Wiltshire Council offices.
About you:
* You will have evidenced experience of professional and personal development and be looking to build upon this and further your career aspirations within an innovative and truly supportive environment.
* As an HCPC registered social worker you will possess extensive post qualification experience in children’s services, ideally within either Kinship or Fostering. However, the ability to carry out good quality assessments, an analytical mind, coupled with a passion and interest to join us and help us to develop our practice in a trauma informed way is essential.
A generous relocation package is offered, should you need to relocate to join us, so why not consider a lifestyle change for the better!
Interviews will be held on 18th November.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, as an employee you will be expected to share this commitment
