Support Worker 1:1
Service/Location: Aspens – Pines, Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU
Are you a Support Worker / Carer who wants to make a real difference in the lives of those you support?
Would you like to work one to one and have time to effect real change?
If yes then this could be the rewarding role you are looking for!
Pines is a 6 bedded house that caters for mild learning disabilities and autism. The role is a one to one part-time support role to assist a lovely lady in her 30’s with regular activities. She loves swimming, horse riding and going to the gym but needs a lot of encouragement to get started.
We need a support worker who is good at giving encouragement and who is happy to get involved in activities and make it fun!
You will also need to support with personal care and encourage to complete basic household tasks.
We are a relaxed supportive team that work together to give the very best to the people we support.
This is a part-time support worker role on a 24 Hour per week contract.
07:30 - 16:30 Monday
07:30 - 13:30 Wednesday
07:30 - 16:30 Friday

Support Worker Requirements
Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the qualification
Full Driving licence with access to transport and happy to take service users out.
Understanding of Makaton would be an advantage

The ideal support worker should be able to work as part of a team, be confident, caring, able to assist with recording finances, medication & writing and recording daily information.
