Activities Coordinator (Art / Jewellery)
St. Elizabeth’s Centre, based on a 68-acre site near Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, comprises a School, College, Care Home and Day Centre providing specialist services for people with severe epilepsy and other complex medical conditions. The Centre is within a commutable distance of Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Ware, Hertford & surrounding towns.
Position: Project Assistant
Location: St Elizabeth's Centre, Perry Green, SG10 6EW
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £16,781 - £18,233 per annum, pro rata (£8.44 - £9.14 per hour)

About the role:
We are looking for a flexible and motivated activities coordinator to join our Day Opportunities team. The team delivers different programmes to people with learning disabilities enabling them to create works of art for exhibition and / or sale to help raise funds for the centre. You will be given the opportunity to work primarily in our exciting Drawing Room which specialises in ceramics, print making and painting and our Jewellery Project (which offers therapy through the making of jewellery). The Drawing Room was created to give the residents a therapeutic benefit but also the opportunity to express their creativity and have fun.
About you:
Ideally you will have experience and / or a keen interest in Art & Jewellery making with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and get involved alongside our residents and day clients. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to bring your talents, skills and enthusiasm to St. Elizabeth’s Centre. We always offer a comprehensive induction and training will be given.
Offers are subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check paid for by the centre.
You may have experience of the following: Specialist Activities Leader, Specialist Activities Coordinator, Specialist Activities Assistant, Activities Leader, Activities Coordinator, Activities Assistant, Therapy, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, NFP, Not for Profit etc.
