Our client is a charity that support people with learning disabilities in the community. They want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can’t do this without you! They need Support Workers in Beeston to make their vision a reality.

Position: Female Support Worker
Location: Beeston, Norfolk
Job type: Permanent (guaranteed hours), up to 39 hours per week - This role is shift work
Hours: Full time, part time and relief hours available
Salary: £8.50 per hour, overtime and sleep-ins available

About the role:

The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people you work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. For this role you will be working in a bespoke service that offers support to individuals with a learning disability that would usually live at home with their families.

Supporting someone with Learning Disabilities isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.

The role of role Support Worker is incredibly varied, you will be supporting people with all aspects of daily living and no two days are the same.

About You:

As a Support Worker in this service, experience of working with individuals with a learning disability, particularly autism, is essential. You have to be kind, flexible have a pro-active attitude and good communication skills.

A basic level of English and Math is also required.

Due to location a driving licence is essential for this role. You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts and sleep-ins for which additional payments will be made.
