Job Profile: Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Dave Lucey Ltd

We have an exciting new vacancy for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civil Engineering contractor near Bath.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

You will ideally have completed a recent degree in Quantity Surveying or currently studying part time and living within a close proximity between Bath and Frome.

In return the successful candidate will be offered a started of between £22,000 to £27,000 depending on level of experience and qualification. Candidates currently needing day release are welcome to apply.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Duties:

  • Preparing enquiries, analysing tenders, negotiating and managing allocated sub-contractor accounts – to include orders, payments & final accounts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Preparing and assisting with enquiries, quotations and ordering of materials including reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
  • Measurement from drawings and on site.
  • All commercial aspects on small value schemes.
  • Identifying, valuing, assisting, backing up for items of change, e.g. variations, CEs, claims, etc.
  • Assisting and preparation of subcontractor accruals.
  • Visiting site and liaising with the employers’ team.

The successful candidate will Ideally be located within close proximity to Bath/Frome proximity and be in the process of studying towards an HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Working hours Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5pm
