Job description

The Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) are looking for a Service Delivery Manager to work within the Radio Network Infrastructure Replacement (RNIR) programme. The RNIR forms a major contract to replace the MCA's 155 remote radio sites with modern technology.

You will be responsible for providing support to the RNIR Commercial Manager in the day to day management of the RNIR programme. This will include financial management and the monitoring of supplier performance and KPIs. You will also work closely with the Commercial manager to leverage ways in which this investment can drive even greater value for money through collaboration with other parts of Government.
 

Responsibilities

The role responsibilities include:

• Develop relationships with the new Supplier Contractor and the existing legacy arrangement
• Assessment and verification of monthly performance information from the contracts to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) and KPI standards are measured and, where applicable, Service Credits are applied
• Oversee and manage the preparation of budgetary data, including actual and forecast expenditure in relation to aviation contracts
• Manage the day to day monitoring of supplier management information, ensuring capture of information as specified within the contracts
• Is responsible for the management, collation and reporting of the RNIR Network Management information and performance data
• Coordinate, document and review external assurance, technical and contract management audits. Organise and support any internal audit requirements
• Support and oversee the programme documentation, including Risk Registers, Issues Logs, Decision Logs, Risks Assumptions Issues and Dependencies (RAID) Register and other key project documentation
• Work with the Lead Programme Manager, Technical Implementation Programme Manager and the Commercial Manager to secure ongoing value for money for RNIR activity

We are looking for someone with a commercial background and good commercial acumen. You will also have experience of working with external contractors to support service delivery projects.

Organisational skills are pivotal to this role and you will have the ability to deliver against multiple objectives, whilst maintaining the highest standards. You work well with colleagues at all levels, and see the importance of building effective working relationships both within and outside of your immediate team.

A strong communicator, you have the confidence to back your own ideas and opinions with the ability to explain your thought process in a clear and effective way.
