Salary & Benefits: £57,789 to £62,141 base salary depending on experience, plus annual personal bonus %, 13% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays. Role Summary:

As Technical Scrum Master you will support the development team to understand agility through flow principles, finding the optimal approach to working across multiple locations and transitioning away from traditional waterfall delivery. You would be responsible for introducing, managing and supporting the Scrum process within the team, scrum practices, scrum ceremonies and reviews, shielding the team from external influences and acting as a facilitator.

The role sits within our Financial Planning & Retirement Value Stream which is focused on improving support to our customers throughout their financial lives, with clear, straightforward customer journeys, helping empower them to make the right decisions on their long-term Saving, Investment & Retirement needs.

We work in Labs where our teams collaborate together on key projects to deliver value at pace by designing services that people find useful, easy and engaging to use.

Our Lab in particular will play a critical part to ensure the success of the Group and Value Stream Strategies. We are just starting our journey towards an Agile Digital Lab and your skills and experience in that type of change will be key to help us deliver our vision.

So what would you be doing for us?

You will support the team to understand agility through flow principles, finding the optimal approach to working across multiple locations and transitioning away from traditional waterfall delivery. You will operate at team level as a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them deliver their best work.

You will be responsible for the success of the Scrum process in the component team and for establishing Scrum practices and rules, ensuring that Scrum ceremonies are followed, including effective Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews and planning meetings.

You will shield the team from external influences and help remove any obstacles hindering its progress.

You will be a facilitator, enabling the team to become self-organised and cross functional, focused on delivering the best outcome for the customer.

About you:

You will be a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering guidance, both individually and at team/squad levels, bringing passion to your work to inspire and motivate team members.

You will love coaching and supporting people to embrace changes to their way of working, and be confident delivering formal and informal training.

You will have an appetite to continuously improve, be innovative and take an interest in industry best practice.

What we need from you:

  • You will be an experienced Scrum Master with demonstrable skills and proven capability of agile application and scrum techniques.
  • You will have proven stakeholder management capability and communication skills; being able to influence and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, as well as having the ability to network effectively.
  • You will be used to operating in a highly pressurised environment and be able to calm situations whilst maintaining focus.
  • You will have a background in software development teams and have an understanding of .Net technologies specifically.
  • You will have strong understanding of Jira and Confluence and ideally knowledge of Dev Ops strategies.
