Brilliant opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer to join a passionate, forward thinking and supportive small business, located on the outskirts in Launceston. This is a part time position working 2 full days per week, and we are looking for candidates who are available for an immediate start date. It is envisaged this contract will last up to 12 months, during which time you will be employed directly by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Graphic Design of a number of catalogs (these are sent several times per year)

* Updating of the company websites

* Handling the design process or various email campaigns, newsletters, adverts and point of sale materials

* Photography – for example retouching images after photo-shoots

* Additional Design duties as and when they arise

A large part of this role will involve Photography so a good technical understanding will be required, including retouching, cropping visuals and general image management.

Experience, Attributes and Qualifications Required:

* Strong design skills and previous experience within a similar role is essential

* Photography skills; retouching, cropping visuals and general image management

* Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.

* General understanding of HTML and CSS

* Knowledge of Social Media and general Marketing practices

* Self motivated; someone social but who also enjoys working alone and with minimal supervision

* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and can under under pressure to deadlines when required

* Team player, confident and a positive attitude

Please note, due to the nature of the role and the rural location of our client’s office, own transport will be required.
