Comity Recruitment Ltd is looking seeking driver with
* D1 or PSV Driving Licence
* Hours is Minimum 4/Day (2 hrs in the Morning and 2 hrs in the Afternoon)
* Role is school term time
* Start Date 3rd of September
* You will be required to attend drivers assessment before your start date.
To provide transport services to meet the needs of various customers. These services mainly involve the transportation of vulnerable people within the community but will include the movement of foodstuffs and other inanimate objects.
Duties includes and not limited to the below:
* You will be transporting children with Special Educational Needs
These needs range from Challenging Behaviour to those with physical and complex medical needs.
* Will be required to secure wheelchairs on the vehicle, bending down in confined spaces to secure equipment.
* May encounter issues on the vehicle re. physical or verbal assault (on-going issues are dealt with by the office). Must be able to deal appropriately with these situations – not be inappropriate verbally or physically.
* Able to report and deal with emergency situations eg. calling emergency services etc
* Excellent customer care and patience
* Friendly and approachable
Other Information:
* Minimum of 4 hours per day (general average hours worked will be around 22-24 per week, some routes will be more hours)
* The range of each shift varies, as does the start time, but can be - am between 6.30am -7.30am started and finish between 9.45am -10.15am and then come back for the pm shift start between 2.15pm-3.00pm and finish between 4.30pm- 5.45pm. Actual start/finish times will depend on what route you will be working on.
You must be:
* Willing to undertake, satisfy and continue to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.
* Ability to offer appropriate assistance to users.
* Be physically fit.
* Ability to work without supervision and to use initiative.
* Good verbal and written communication skills and basic numeracy
* Ability to understand duty rosters, timetables and schedules
