An established growing organization are recruiting for Full or Part Time Support Worker for their supportive living services near Filton, Bristol. You will be working with 3 clients who have Cerebral Palsy, physical disabilities, pica (eating disorder), Autism who can display challenging behaviour (most are verbal and 1 young lad is physical).
Main Job Role:
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Some clients are prompting & some are full personal care which includes hoisting
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must have a driving licence but you don`t need a car as you will drive the service user`s car
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £6,905 - £18,000 per annum = £8.20 - £12.37 per hour
- Full or part time available (16 - 40 hours a week)
- Sleep-ins are paid at £60 per sleep
- Day shifts are 7am - 9pm
- Waking nights are 9pm - 9am
- Sleep-ins are 11pm - 7am
Pay explained:
- Weekdays between 8am - 8pm is £8.25 an hour
- Weekdays from 7am - 8am and 8pm - 11pm is £10.31 an hour
- Waking night is £10.31 an hour
- Saturdays is £11 an hour
- Sundays is £12.37 an hour
