AXMINSTER*** Young Person Support Worker *** 10 pounds per hour
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for applicants wishing to develop a career in residential childcare, in Taunton, Axminster and Exeter areas!
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are wanting to work with children from vulnerable backgrounds. Working in a residential home, you will provide a positive adult role model for vulnerable young people, encouraging them to engage with positive activities, and supporting them with their emotional wellbeing.
You will need to have a resilient nature, as you will be working with children that present verbal as well as physical challenging behaviours. Although not absolutely necessary, we would welcome applicants with some experience of working with children from another background, i.e. youth work, fostering, security / prison services or as a Learning Support Assistant. You will need to be a driver, and will need to be flexible as you will be working 24 hour shifts on a rolling rota, including sleep-ins.
