The role:

Amey has been working with Severn Trent Water (STW) to deliver their water network designs for the past 5 years and we are recruiting for a Technical Support Assistant to bolster and support the existing team.

You will be providing a wide range of technical business support to the design team within our Water South division based at our central Birmingham office. This will include producing drawings using AutoCAD and associated packages as well more ad-hoc administration.


What will the Technical Support Assistant role involve?

* Preparing and assisting with drawing production as well as technical documentation.
* Maintain high technical standards, consistent with project briefs and compliant with the company's HSEA standards.
* Assist with the production of project documentation.
* Create how to guides for training and quality purposes.
* Work alongside the commercial team to deliver on our service level agreements.
* Provide alternative options for clients / customers to ensure a high level of service is provided over the project lifecycle.

What are we looking for in a Technical Support Assistant?

* Good level of secondary education or above.
* Recognised qualifications with AutoCAD or Engineering would be a distinct advantage.
* Strong administrative skills and experience.
* An interest in or experience with AutoCAD would be an advantage.
* Computer literacy and competence with MS Office suite.
* Self-motivated with the drive to achieve continuous improvement targets.
* Adhering to SLA's
