Human Resources Advisor (Maternity Leave)
Salary: up to £26,000 FTE (depending on skills and experience)
Start: January 2019
The College is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and resilient individual to join our small but fast-paced generalist HR team, providing a responsive HR service to designated areas and will work in partnership with both customers and the team to deliver a highly effective, professional, pro-active HR service.
We would be happy to consider part time candidates if they have the experience we are seeking (e.g. minimum of 3 days per week or 5 shorter days).
The role will suit someone with excellent generalist HR skills and confident approach to support the business across all levels, with a Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a similar role.
The successful candidate will be positive, assertive and flexible with excellent attention to detail. They will also be able to meet challenging deadlines, be comfortable using their own initiative and have a passion for enhancing the customer experience. You will have a confident manner, be able to build good working relationships with staff at all levels and work within a collaborative team environment.
The role will involve all aspects of Human Resources work including casework, some staff development and support the Human Resources Manager in carrying out projects and restructures and taking the lead on the Colleges recruitment activities.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office packages essential. Working knowledge of HR & Management Information Systems/databases, ideally Access Select, would be useful. Additionally, experience of working in the education sector would be an advantage.
