Do you have recent experience of working and supporting children in a secondary school? If you are a passionate and highly motivated Teacher who wants to create an outstanding centre for education to allow young people to achieve greatness then join Brighton & Hove Clinic as a Deputy Head Teacher.

As an experienced Deputy Head Teacher (or Assistant Head teacher), you will have fantastic knowledge within the SEN independent sector, Independent School Standards and Ofsted framework. You will have 10-12 hours a week of part-time teaching commitment and will join the team in January 2020.

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team at Bright & Hove Clinic in Brighton, a specialist provision for young people within a dedicated on-site hospital school. The service offers the opportunity for young people to develop a personalised curriculum that meets the needs of individual learner.

Salary - Up to £42,000

Start Date - January 2020

Hours - 37.5 hours per week

To be successful in this role, you'll need

.

Experience of leading staff teams.
Secure knowledge of statutory requirements relating to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum and assessment.
A good track record of driving forward improvements.
Successful experience of leading one or more subject areas.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire.
A strategic vision that ensures progress and success.
Experience of successful and robust staff management and supporting the continual professional development of staff.
A strong commitment to ensure safeguarding is fully integrated into all aspects of school life.
The ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders including the local community..
