Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled mechanical engineering machinist to deliver educational, informative and both practical and theory lectures within a college setting based in Shropshire.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about mechanical engineering, and have extensive workshop and practical skills including; milling, turning, bench fitting, tool making and machining. The ideal candidate will also have the drive and motivation to help learners to progress in their careers, increase their employability and support their personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong industry background, experience of teaching both in classroom and workshop settings, and have strong organisational and communication skills in order to inspire and educate learners.

This role is part-time, consisting of full days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, on a temporary-ongoing basis.

The person & qualifications
A qualification in a relevant subject
A teaching qualification
Industry experience within mechanical engineering and machining
Experience teaching mechanical engineering (practical elements) up to level 3
