Care Assistants required - full and part-time positions available in the Gorton and Levenshulme areas of Manchester.

Medacs Healthcare are looking to recruit both experienced and inexperienced Domiciliary Home Carers to support our elderly clients in their own homes in Gorton or Levenshulme.

As this is a community based role, you must hold a full UK driving license and have unrestricted access to a vehicle.

The role is to support our clients with:-

Assistance with personal care - dressing/undressing, bathing, showers, toileting, commodes, hair care, dental hygiene, pad changes, catheter care.
Medication support - either via a verbal prompt or physical assistance (opening bottles, popping blister pack medication, administering eye/ear drops.
Food preparation - preparing light meals and snacks.
Communication - speaking and listening to our clients, having a chat can be a real tonic!
Documentation - documenting each care visit in the clients homecare file, therefore, excellent written English is required.The ideal candidate will be:-

Compassionate and kind with a genuine desire to help others.
Have an excellent command of the English language, written, reading and verbal.
Patient and understanding.
Have a "can do" attitude.
Have the ability to multi-taskShift patterns are 07.00 to 13.30 and 15.30 to 22.00. All our Care Workers must work alternate weekends. You must be flexible and able to work a mixture of shift patterns.

Pay rates - £9.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £9.50 per hour Weekends - for every 7 completed hours worked you will receive 1 hours free pay (at national minimum wage) to assist with travel time.

A full DBS will be required to commence work with Medacs Healthcare. The cost of a fully enhanced, child and adult DBS is £40.00. This is to be funded by the applicant upon a successful interview, although we will discuss payment options in the event of financial challenges.
