Job Details

We’re looking for an engaging, enthusiastic and well organised individual to join our clients Scotland Volunteering and Community team.

Position: Volunteering and Community Officer

Location: North Scotland, Grampian and Tayside (homebased working across the service area)

Hours: 21 hours per week

Salary: Circa £13,800 per annum

Contract: Fixed term 12 months’ maternity cover

The Role

Reporting to the Volunteering and Community Manager for Scotland, the Volunteering and Community Officer

will lead a group of volunteers and the peer support activity for people affected by stroke within the Grampian and Tayside area.

About You

The Volunteering and Community Officer will:

 

  • Have strong networking and relationship management skills to enable you to proactively build connections and opportunities across your area.
  • Have a track record of working with volunteers and an understanding of the impact of stroke in someone’s life.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

 

There is also a requirement to work flexibly and travel across Grampian and Tayside to fulfil the role. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team. This role is home based, please see our clients home working agreement for full details.
