Showsec, the award-winning crowd management specialists are currently recruiting for Event Safety Stewards as we continue our preparations for a busy Christmas & New Year in the Bristol area.
Most of our work in the area is at the Bristol O2 Academy but we also have occasional work at other venues.

What will you be doing as an Event Safety Steward?
* Carry out pre-event checks
* Help manage an even flow of people entering the venue/event
* Staff restricted areas, segregated areas, exit and entry points
* Monitor crowds for signs of overcrowding
* Investigate any disturbances or incidents
* Respond to emergencies, raise the alarm and provide necessary and appropriate immediate help
* Provide a high standard of customer care
What we need from you?
* A successful Showsec Event Steward has fantastic customer facing skills – attitude is everything
* Strong verbal communication skills

Of particular interest are candidates who would be interested commencing as an Event Safety Steward, but quickly training to become a SIA Door Supervisor (training which Showsec can support).
SIA Door Supervisors are licensed individuals responsible for;
* Screening a person’s suitability to enter an event or venue including searching of persons and/or property to prevent prohibited items from entering the premises
* Responding to incidents as they occur
* Providing a security presence to prevent and detect crime within a designated area
What you can expect to receive as an SIA Door Supervisor;
* An enhanced rate of pay – Stewards are paid £9.20 per hour whereas our SIA Door Supervisors in Bristol receive up to £11.25 per hour
* Increased shift availability – the need for SIA Door Supervisors is high and this is reflected in the amount of work we have available
