Our Contaminated Land & Hydrogeology (CL&H) Practice is a well-established, award winning, multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering practice with an extensive portfolio of regeneration and development projects. In addition, we work on a number of national frameworks with some of the UK’s most knowledgeable clients managing land contamination liabilities on complex and challenging brownfield sites. Our client and project base is highly diverse, working with public and private sector clients on projects in the nuclear new build sector, oil and gas sector, regeneration and redevelopment of brownfield land, and major road, rail and aviation infrastructure projects.

Company

Atkins is a multinational engineering and design consultancy, providing expertise to help resolve complex challenges presented by the built and natural environment. Whether its the concept for a new skyscraper, the upgrade of a rail network, the modelling of a flood defence system or the improvement of a management process, we plan, design and enable solutions.

If you weren’t aware of what we do, it’s probably because our talents tend to remain hidden. Rather than shouting about our achievements ourselves, we prefer to let them be appreciated by other people – as happened recently when we were named by the Times as one of the Top 50 Employers for Women 2013.We are doing much to overcome the perception that engineering is a man’s world. Our stated aim is that one third of our company board will be female by 2015. By the same time, women should make up more than 20% of our senior staff.
