The College is seeking to appoint a Retail Assistant. Working on a part time basis you’ll receive a competitive salary of £7,410 per annum (£18,525 FTE).

Hours of work: 15 hours per week (excluding lunch) – 9.00am to 5.30pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays with one additional Saturday per month (Flexibility with hours may be needed during busy periods)

The College Tailor is looking for a permanent, part time retail assistant to assist to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays and one Saturday per month.

Key Responsibilities as a Retail Assistant:

- Providing a friendly, professional and proactive service with a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant uniform requirements.

- Ensuring that stocktaking and inventory control system activities are carried out thoroughly

- Cash/credit card reconciliation, banking, bank reconciliation

- Ensuring that the shop is a welcoming environment, that cleanliness standards are of the highest and that all health and safety risk assessments are carried out and reviewed as necessary

- In the absence of the Shop Manager and Deputy Manager to be responsible for the College Tailor

- To undertake any other reasonable management request

Key skills you’ll need as our Retail Assistant:

- Ability to use initiative and prioritise a demanding workload

- Excellent communication skills

- A warm and professional manner

- An enthusiasm for achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service

- Good IT literacy particularly in Word and Excel

- A high level of integrity, diligence, attention to detail, discipline and control

- Knowledge on Sports Equipment would be an advantage
