Equity Housing has an exciting opportunity for a Barista to join our SK Eight team in Cheadle Hulme.  You will join us on a part time contract working a minimum 8 hours per week on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Saturday's as required. There will be some solo working and the occasional responsibility to open the coffee shop. This is a fixed term contract for 8 weeks' and you will receive a salary of £9.00 per hour. Key accountabilities of our Barista: - Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of SK Eight - Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so the team can react appropriately to create a prompt, valued and efficient environment - Delivers legendary service by acting with a “customer first” attitude, connecting with customers and reacting to the customer’s needs                                                                                                                                                                         - Follow SK Eight operational policies and procedures including cash handling, opening and closing the store and safety and security to ensure the safety of the team - Maintain a clean and organized workspace so team members can locate resources and product as needed - Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products - Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful behaviours by giving encouraging and respectful coaching as needed                                                                                                                                                                           - Occasional responsibility for opening the coffee shop - Maintains regular and punctual attendance while following SK Eight dress code and hygiene policy What we’re looking for in our Barista: - Experience of providing inspirational Customer Service - Exceptional inter-personal and customer service skills - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas, issues and concepts successfully to a variety of audiences - Good organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities - To demonstrate creativity and original thinking, whilst developing practical solutions to problems - Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service - Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of customers and the organisation - Smart and well groomed at all times - Confident, lively and outgoing personality - Approachable, friendly and cheerful - Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or above (Desirable) - Experience of working within a commercially orientated, fast paced and sales orientated business (Desirable) If you feel you have the skills and experience needed to become our Barista please click ‘Apply’ now!
