We are pleased to supporting our client in their search for a Training & Development (T&D) Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis in Central London. Reporting to the HR Director you will offer your expertise and leadership, whilst working in closely with their senior managers to ensure the development and transformation of a capable, skilled and effective business that is well equipped to deliver business objectives and supports continued service excellence whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.

You will design and deliver the T&D strategy, assessing priority and future needs and developing leadership/talent development plans, programmes and solutions that drive culture change, high performance and support the broader aims of the business, as well as support the development of a learning culture where all employees are equipped to drive and manage their own development.

About the role

You will work with the HR Director to develop and deliver T&D policy and strategy.
Compile individual training plans, distribute them to staff and ensure line managers are kept in the loop.
Embrace different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, facilitated sessions, coaching, on the job, etc.
Deliver in-house courses, as appropriate.
Ensure that every L&D intervention has clear business focused aims that enable robust evaluation, effectiveness, and measurement of return on investment.
Develop innovative strategies for learning & development using new technologies.
Manage and administer the company’s on-line learning platform, promote and encourage participation, and increase take up year on year.
Create on line programmes specific to the job duties.
Advise on and support the achievement of appropriate Professional and Academic qualifications.
Ensure that any funded learning is fully backed up by Learning Agreements, and follow through to ensure any repayments are made.
Foster and support a coaching & mentoring culture across the business
Assist the HR Director to develop and manage the company’s training budget, ensuring best value for money.
Provide reports and statistics of the training data when required.
Manage and maximise other government funded grant training schemes (if applicable).
Help line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
Contribute with ideas and pro-actively take part in the HR strategy implementation within the company.
Work as an integrated and collaborative member of the HR team.
Attend meetings as required

About you

CIPD Level 5 in Learning and development or equivalent
Effective Communicator- both verbal & written
Excellent influencing skills
Good time management
